Lynette at Fifty

Privacy & photo use

Effective September 8, 2026

This notice covers Lynette's welcome, celebration gallery and linked website photo album, operated by DS Technology & Design, LLC in Delaware for Lynette's celebration.

You can enjoy the video and photographs without signing the guest book. Names, email addresses and notes submitted through the forms are not shown publicly. The private dashboard is for Lynette and William McDuffie.

September 8 update: the guest book now remembers your browser, and Lynette and William have a private place to read signatures and birthday notes.

The guest book and your notes

If you sign the welcome guest book, we receive your first name, last name and email address. If you leave a note, we receive the name and message you enter. Please do not include sensitive information about yourself or anyone else.

New submissions are saved privately through Wix for Lynette and William McDuffie to read, with DS Technology & Design administering the guest book. Lynette receives an email notification when a new guest signs or leaves a birthday note. Signature alerts include the guest's name; birthday-note alerts include the name and message. Contact details remain in the private dashboard. An email address supplied with a signature may be used to respond about that entry or a related request. Signing does not subscribe you to marketing emails.

Earlier submissions were delivered by FormSubmit to the DS Technology & Design inbox. Those email records may remain. Genuine entries may be transferred to the private guest book without repeated copies or website test messages. See FormSubmit's privacy notice (PDF, opens a new tab). We do not sell guestbook information or use it for targeted advertising.

Dashboard access is limited to the approved email addresses for Lynette, William McDuffie, and William Dixon-Saunders of DS Technology & Design. Each person verifies a short-lived code sent to their email and stays on this website throughout. Guests do not need a Google account, password or verification code. Entering a name or email in the guest book may offer an approved person a dashboard link, but it does not grant access to anyone's private information.

Browsing, storage and service providers

Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity, including session replay, are disabled on these celebration pages, even if you previously allowed analytics elsewhere on the DS Technology & Design website. The rest of that website has its own general privacy policy and settings.

Cloudflare Web Analytics provides aggregate traffic and performance measurement without analytics cookies. It receives request and page information needed for that measurement. See Cloudflare's privacy policy (opens a new tab).

Wix hosts the pages and welcome video. Google Fonts supplies the gallery fonts. These providers receive technical information, such as IP address, browser details and requests for the files they serve, and may process it for delivery, security and operation. See the privacy information from Wix and Google Fonts. Those links open new tabs. Providers may process information outside your country.

Your browser's local storage remembers that you signed or dismissed the welcome invitation, so you are not asked again on that browser. It stores only that preference, not your name, email address or note, and does not grant access to private information. Use “Sign as another guest” to reopen the invitation. Clearing site data, private browsing or using a different browser or device may show the invitation again.

Session storage remembers selected photo filenames and provides a fallback for the invitation preference when persistent storage is unavailable. Closing the browser session or clearing site data can remove these session preferences, although some browsers restore them when reopening tabs.

Wix uses session cookies for secure form submissions. The private guest book uses secure cookies for email verification and host access. Lynette and William may choose “Keep me signed in for 90 days” on a device they trust. That access expires no later than 90 days after verification and can be ended sooner with Sign out. Without that option, access expires after 12 hours and may end sooner when the browser session closes. A different browser, private browsing or clearing site data may require verification again. A temporary host invitation cookie can carry the approved email choice from the guest form to the verification page without putting an email address in a link or browser local storage.

Wix delivers host verification emails and new-entry notifications and may keep the recipient as a site contact, along with delivery and email interaction information. These messages support guest-book access and notifications, not marketing. Private security records hold hashed verification information, expiration times and request limits. Private delivery records help prevent repeated alerts. They are not a list of people browsing the gallery. The dashboard shows submitted signatures and notes, not the identities of people who only view the website.

We do not use these pages to track your activity across unrelated websites. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals do not change the already disabled Google Analytics and Clarity settings; necessary file delivery and aggregate Cloudflare measurement continue. Following an external link takes you to that provider's own privacy practices.

Photographs and sharing

This is a shared celebration album, not a password-protected account. Anyone with a page or photo link can view it, and visitors can download the displayed photographs. We ask search engines not to index the celebration pages, but that is not an access restriction or a guarantee against discovery.

The download feature is intended for personal keepsakes and sharing with family and friends. Please respect the people pictured, and ask before posting someone else's photograph publicly. Downloading a photograph does not transfer copyright or grant permission for advertising, resale or other commercial use. Contact us about permission for any broader use. These photo-use conditions do not limit rights granted separately under an applicable license.

If you are pictured and would like an image reviewed or removed, email hello@dstechdesign.com with the photo link or filename. A parent or guardian may contact us about a child's photograph. Removing an image from our site cannot recall copies already saved or shared by others.

Your choices and requests

Use “Continue without signing” to skip the welcome guest book, or leave the note form blank. Use the jazz control to pause background music. The forms are for adults; please do not submit information for a child under 13. If you believe a child has submitted personal information, contact us so it can be reviewed and removed.

Email hello@dstechdesign.com to request access, a correction or deletion of your submission. Provide enough detail to locate the entry, but do not send identification documents unless we first discuss what is necessary to verify the request.

Guestbook entries are kept in private website storage, and earlier correspondence remains in email records, while administering the celebration and handling related requests. Birthday messages shared with Lynette and William may be retained as personal keepsakes. There is no automatic deletion timer for signatures or notes. You may request deletion; legal obligations, provider backups and copies already shared can affect what can be removed.

The site uses HTTPS. No online service is completely secure. We may disclose information where required by law or needed to address a security issue.

Help enjoying the celebration

The photo viewer includes Close, Previous, Next and keyboard controls. The welcome has English captions available in the video controls, and you can skip it at any time. If any part is difficult to use, contact hello@dstechdesign.com and tell us which page and device you are using.

Changes to this notice

We will update this page and its effective date when these practices change. Material changes will be called out on this page before new collection or use begins. Questions can be sent to hello@dstechdesign.com.
